Summer Windsurfing

Here are a couple of short windsurfing videos from recent sessions on Lake Norman, NC. We rarely get good wind on Lake Norman in the summer, so when it happens, you go! In late August, we enjoyed a rare windy and unseasonably cool day. Rob and I started out on our foils in light wind and foggy conditions. The wind unexpectedly picked up, so we switched to regular windsurfing.

Soon after that, Hurricane Dorian made its way along the Carolinas coast and gave us super rare summer NE 20-25mph wind on Lake Norman.

Our summer was saved by foils. Although we had a patch in mid July to early Aug of no wind, we were definitely a lot more on the water than years past. Glad you had a good session. Nothing is more fun than blasting in warm air and water without needing neoprene.
